Collection of surveillance videos

Media Nipple has posted a collection of video clips from news, television shows, and other media on the theme of surveillance.

The post should be a good reference for anyone teaching surveillance and the ways in which it is depicted in popular culture.

Warning: mildly NSFW...?

Gimme a break.
As Jack Nicholson once said, “The censors say they're protecting the family unit in America, when the reality is, if you suck a tit you're an X, but if you cut it off with a sword, you're a PG.”

Hey, Vizkids... Is it the (tiny pictures of) transgressive lininality? Or is it your MENTAL place of work? 97% of Media Nipple content is taken directly off typical broadcast TV... the same place where ads for Viagra go back-to-back with vaginal dryness "disorder".

Geez, I'm almost damp thinking about the recuperative effects of Cultural Farming. (Now I'll never make the Blog Roll!)

Mental places of work

Sorry to take so long to reply.

I agree with you that the videos aren’t that transgressive (hence “mildly”). However, just because you and I find them ok, that doesn’t mean that they are ok in every context, particularly workplace contexts. Hence the “NSFW” warning. Like the R and X ratings, this warning provides people with information that they can do whatever they want with (and, unlike the R and X ratings, the warning carries not restrictions: those under 17 can still click through).
