Religious segregation
The map gives a concrete representation of the war's effects on Iraq. It provides a clear argument that religious differences between the Sunni and Shia have only deteriorated based on the fact that they've self-segregated themselves from each other. The cause and effect relationship between the bombings and disrupted lives can literally be seen in how the make-up the the neighborhoods changed.
